Account Manager, Health Care

Clariant is currently seeking an Account Manager to drive the growth of our Health Care portfolio of excipients and Polyethylene Glycols (PEGs) across North America. This commercially focused role is all about building and nurturing strong customer relationships, growing existing accounts, and uncovering new business opportunities. While a solid technical understanding is valuable, success comes from curiosity, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for connecting with customers and internal teams. This fully remote position offers optional work from Clariant's Innovation Center in New Providence, NJ, or our Mount Holly/Charlotte, NC site. A company vehicle is provided for frequent travel. Responsibilities

•    Implement and execute the Health Care strategy in North America, managing and growing existing customer accounts while developing new business
•    Maintain strong, regular contact with customers to identify needs, monitor competition, and build long-term partnerships
•    Introduce and promote the new PEG portfolio from the Clearlake plant along with the existing range, creating a robust opportunity pipeline in CRM
•    Lead customer projects in collaboration with Business Development, Technical, Marketing, Regulatory, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain teams
•    Manage distributor performance and ensure alignment with commercial goals
•    Provide accurate short-, mid-, and long-term forecasts and maintain pricing and demand data in relevant systems
•    Represent the company at trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events to strengthen brand presence
•    Drive exponential regional growth by maintaining close customer relationships, accurate forecasting, and timely internal coordination


 

Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Business Management or a related scientific field
•    5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in a commercial role, preferably in pharma excipients
•    Self-driven, structured, with an established network of potential customers and partners
•    Willingness to travel approximately 50%
