IT Business Consultant ((European Shift: 11:30 AM IST to 08:30 PM IST)

We are looking for a skilled and innovative IT professional to lead global initiatives in Industrial IoT, IT/OT integration, systems architecture, and cybersecurity within our Operations Solutions team. This role is key to advancing our smart manufacturing capabilities across global production sites.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Global PIMS Solutions: Own the roadmap, architecture, implementation, and support of Plant Information Management Systems (e.g., AVEVA PI), including data integration, visualization, and reporting.
- IT/OT Integration & Smart Instrumentation: Define and maintain IT standards for integrating sensors and intelligent instrumentation into production systems.
- Client Device Management: Standardize and support deployment of production floor devices (e.g., tablets, smart glasses).
- OT Security Oversight: Coordinate security strategies for industrial networks in collaboration with IT cybersecurity and network teams.
- Technology Innovation: Evaluate emerging technologies and drive continuous improvement aligned with manufacturing goals.
- Project Leadership: Manage and deliver global IT projects using Agile/Scrum or traditional methodologies.
Technical Expertise:
- Industrial Systems: Deep knowledge of AVEVA PI (interfaces, tags, AF, PI Vision, PI Batch) and PIMS architecture lifecycle.
- System Administration: Installation, configuration, and support of real-time data systems and servers (Windows Server, VMware, Hyper-V).
- Cybersecurity: Implementation of secure access controls, compliance measures, and data protection in OT environments.
- Data Management & Visualization: SQL Server administration, reporting tools, and dashboard development.
- Cloud & Integration: Experience with Azure or AWS, and integrating PI Systems with enterprise applications via APIs/web services.
- IT Infrastructure: Strong understanding of networking, protocols, firewalls, and IT/OT connectivity.
- Willingness to work in a European shift (11:30 AM IST to 08:30 PM IST) to ensure effective global coverage. Shift allowance and company transport drop-off will be provided.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial IoT, Process Control, or related field.
- Certified or trained in AVEVA PI system administration and project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, PRINCE2).
- At least 3-8 years of relevant experience leading global IT initiatives and defining technology standards.
- Familiarity with SAP modules within manufacturing is a plus.

- Effective communicator with the ability to translate technical content for non-technical stakeholders.

Good to Have:
- Experience in automation and control environments, including OT technologies like DCS, PLC, and SCADA.
- Experience and qualifications in server, database administration, and network communication, including firewall configuration.
- Microsoft certifications in areas such as server infrastructure, network security, and database systems.
- Strong passion for working in a technical environment with a desire to go deep into IT topics.
- Willingness to work in a European shift (11:30 AM IST to 08:30 PM IST) to ensure effective global coverage
- Open to working with existing systems and infrastructure, with a focus on practical solutions over senior-level strategy roles.
- Technically sound, hands-on, and driven by continuous learning and technical excellence.
