IT Consultant-Plant Information Management Systems (PIMS)

Join our Operations Solutions team as a IT Consultant! This is an excellent opportunity for early-career IT professionals to support global initiatives in Industrial IoT, IT/OT integration, and smart manufacturing. You'll help execute and maintain key processes, standards, and procedures while developing your technical skills in a collaborative, innovative environment. 


Responsibilities

  • Support Plant Information Management Systems (PIMS): Assist with deployment, maintenance, and support of PIMS (e.g., AVEVA PI), including basic data integration and reporting.
  • IT/OT Integration: Follow IT standards for connecting sensors and smart devices to production systems.
  • Device Management: Help deploy and support production floor devices (e.g., tablets, smart glasses).
  • OT Security: Support the implementation of security measures for industrial networks, collaborating with IT and cybersecurity teams.
  • Technology Adoption: Participate in evaluating new technologies and suggest improvements aligned with manufacturing goals.
  • Project Support: Assist in the delivery of IT projects, following Agile/Scrum or traditional methodologies as directed.
  • Willingness to work in a European shift (11:30 AM IST to 08:30 PM IST) to ensure effective global coverage. Shift allowance and company transport drop-off will be provided.

 

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, IT, Industrial IoT, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience supporting IT initiatives or working in a technical environment.
  • Basic knowledge of industrial systems (AVEVA PI or similar platforms preferred).
  • Understanding of Windows Server environments and virtualization basics (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Awareness of secure access controls and data protection principles in OT environments.
  • Experience with SQL Server or similar databases, and basic reporting/dashboard tools.
  • Exposure to Azure or AWS is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of networking, protocols, and firewalls.
  • Experience in automation/control environments (DCS, PLC, SCADA).
  • Exposure to server/database administration and network communication.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Entry-level certification or training in AVEVA PI system administration.
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Fundamentals, Windows Server, Networking Essentials).
  • Project management certification (Agile, PRINCE2 Foundation) would be beneficial.
