PS Material Compliance Specialist

The Product Stewardship Material Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance of products and materials with global chemical, trade, and regulatory requirements across assigned regions. The role supports regulatory compliance activities including chemical assessment, HS classification, trade compliance, and stewardship data management.


Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with global and regional chemical and trade regulations.
  • Assess chemical substances/materials for regulatory and product compliance requirements.
  • Support HS (Harmonized System) classification activities for import/export compliance.
  • Manage compliance activities related to CWC, INCB, CIB, Dul use-Precursor and SCOMET regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Regulatory, Logistics, and Commercial.
  • Review and maintain regulatory/compliance data in SAP EH&S and SAP GTS systems.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and support implementation of compliance changes.
  • Communicate compliance requirements and restrictions to internal stakeholders.
  • Support process improvement and regulatory excellence initiatives. 

 

Requirements

  • Master degree in Chemistry or equivalent qualification.
  • 5+ years of experience in Chemical, Pharma, or other regulated industries.
  • Strong experience in chemical regulations, material compliance, and trade compliance.
  • Exposure to CWC, INCB, CIB, or SCOMET regulations.
  • Experience with SAP modules, preferably SAP EH&S & SAP GTS.
  • Good understanding of HS code classification is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Self-driven with strong learning agility and attention to detail
