To ensure efficient and accurate conversion of purchase requisitions into purchase orders, support vendor master data creation, and manage workflow-related queries to enable smooth procurement operations and compliance with organizational processes.
Responsibilities
- Execute transactional procurement activities including Qualifying Purchase requestions, conversion of PR to PO, framework orders (FO), spot buys, and urgent/RUSH orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Validate purchase orders against supplier statements and ensure alignment with agreed terms and quantities.
- Manage and monitor purchase order workflows to ensure timely approvals and processing.
- Create, update, and maintain purchase order documentation in line with organizational policies.
- Respond to internal and external stakeholder queries and emails promptly and professionally.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Follow up with vendors for order confirmations and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Initiate and support vendor master data requests, including creation, updates, and enhancements.
- Assist plants and requisitioners in creating accurate purchase requisitions as per defined processes.
- Actively participate in internal and external meetings, working groups, and discussions.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
- Drive operational excellence by supporting and implementing process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- 1–2 years of experience in Procure-to-Pay, Procurement operations.
- Hands-on experience in SAP will be an added advantage
- Willingness to work in night shifts (5:30 PM to 2:30 AM)
- MBA in Supply Chain Management or relevant certifications in supply chain/procurement will be an added advantage
