Sr. IT Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering large-scale global IT projects across various business and service units, utilizing both waterfall and agile methodologies. The role requires expertise in SAP, Non-SAP applications, and Technology Operations to ensure timely project delivery, efficient resource management, and compliance with regulations. Additionally, the Senior Project Manager will mentor junior project managers and contribute to refining project management processes within the PMO team.


Responsibilities


Project/Program Delivery
•    Lead and execute projects on time, within budget, and with the agreed-upon scope.
•    Collaborate with project requestors to understand their true needs and creatively deliver tailored solutions.
•    Negotiate with stakeholders and suppliers to secure necessary resources and materials.
•    Ensure solutions are well-integrated into global services and meet the identified needs.
•    Identify and manage risks with project requestors and management to ensure efficient project delivery.
•    Mentor and coach less experienced project managers to enhance their skills and project management maturity.

 

Efficiency
•    Apply global standards, policies, and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
•    Lead efforts to continuously improve processes and procedures.
•    Optimize resource management to achieve results with minimal effort investment.
•    Manage vendors to ensure high-quality results in a cost-effective manner.
•    Assist Project Portfolio Management in meeting financial targets and driving improvements.

 

Mentorship and Support
•    Provide guidance to less experienced project managers, helping them navigate challenges and advance their skills.

 

 


 

Requirements

Requirements:

•    Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
•    Project management certification or equivalent experience.

 

Business Experience:

•    Over 10 years of experience leading international IT projects.
•    Over 5 years managing large, complex IT projects across diverse areas.
•    Excellent interpersonal, intercultural, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
•    Proven experience in leading international projects, working with business leadership, and collaborating with multiple IT teams.
•    Demonstrated experience in managing enterprise-wide SAP transformation initiatives, especially SAP S/4HANA migration projects, is highly desirable.
