Responsibilities

  • Screen and evaluate new polymer and surfactant molecules, identifying promising chemical platforms that are aligned with current and emerging business needs
  • Develop innovative surfactant and polymer formulations, delivering technically sound solutions that meet defined milestones and commercial requirements
  • Execute and analyze application trials and surface chemistry studies, drawing meaningful correlations between experimental data and real-world mineral processing performance
  • Process experimental data and produce accurate, well-structured technical reports for internal stakeholders and decision-makers across different levels of the organization
  • Collaborate actively with Application & Development labs, global research centers, and raw material suppliers to ensure effective cross-functional project execution
  • Support the BS Mining commercial team in laboratory and industrial trials, contributing technical expertise throughout the scale-up journey from bench to field

 

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (required)
  • Master's degree in Chemistry, Metallurgy, or Mineral Processing (preferred)
  • PhD is considered an advantage

Experience & Knowledge

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in R&D applied to industrial chemical applications
  • Specialization and/or hands-on experience in organic synthesis, physical chemistry, and/or surfactants and polymers
  • Solid background in experimental design, statistical analysis, and data processing

  • Availability for travel: approximately 20%
