Account Representative - Offshore

Clariant is currently seeking an Account Representative to support the Oil Services Segment of the Care Chemicals business unit in Broussard, LA. This position is an on-call role. The hours worked may vary and the Account Representative must be flexible and respond quickly to accommodate work obligations. The Account Representative will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our products/services at customer sites. This position is also responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in the oil and gas industry and a hands-on, customer-focused approach to field service. This role is well suited for individuals who excel in physically demanding environments and enjoy working outdoors. Responsibilities

•    Respond promptly to service calls and requests for technical support, including emergency situations, on offshore installations
•    Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing timely updates
•    Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and service checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability
•    Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, product development, and customer support, to escalate and resolve complex technical issues
•    Represent Clariant with professionalism and integrity, maintaining a positive company image and reputation in all customer interactions
•    Communicate effectively with customers to provide updates on service status, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction with Clariant’s products/services
•    Provide on-site training to customers on the proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Clariant’s products/services
•    Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working at customer sites, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others


 

Requirements

•    Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering preferred, relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
•    1-3 years of oil and gas industry experience, offshore operator experience is a plus
•    Flexibility to work on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
•    Knowledge of oil and gas chemical production
•    Must be able to obtain offshore qualifications and work on an offshore platform, adhering to strict safety protocols and industry regulations
•    Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and environments
