Sustainability Manager (m/f/d)

We are looking for you as Sustainability Climate Manager (m/f/d) to join our team in Pratteln (Switzerland).

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic development and implementation of Clariant's climate action initiatives (Scope 3).
  • Calculate, validate, and communicate greenhouse gas emissions data across the organization's value chain.
  • Drive digital transformation in climate management through continuous optimization of automated reporting processes to meet increasing climate disclosure requirements while ensuring highest data quality and auditor alignment.
  • Spearhead the identification, assessment, and implementation of climate-related opportunities and risks, developing climate adaptation and mitigation strategies in compliance with TCFD and CSRD frameworks.
  • Strategic analysis of climate-relevant financial metrics, KPIs, and market developments in close collaboration with Finance and IT to steer our climate objectives.
  • Constantly improve and upgrade automated reporting to meet increased reporting requirements, ensure data integrity and auditor coordination.
  • Responsible to position Clariants climate strategy in external reporting, ratings and rankings.
  • Drive a cross-functional team (matrix organisation) of sustainable procurement and sustainable business responsible and support communication, training and engagement of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Industry Associations e.g. CEFIC, WBCSD to ensure thought leadership internally and externally.

 

Requirements

  • Master Degree in enviromental or sustainability management.
  • 3+ years of experience in chemical industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and  Proficiency in Project Management.
  • Ability to engage and motivate stakeholder. 
  • Ability to balance short and long term views.
  • Business fluent in English (written and verbal), every other language is advantage. 
  • Ability to work independet and be a self-driven person.
