Production Manager

Total Target Cash Compensation: ¥322,875.00  – ¥430,500.00


Responsibilities

Safety &Technical management

Enforce all safety rules and procedures consistently across the production team; ensure all maintenance, repair, and production activities are conducted in full compliance with safety standards; maintain high standards of plant cleanliness and housekeeping as a foundation for a safe working environment; actively promote a zero-incident culture and proactively identify potential safety risks on the shop floor; develop, review, and update production SOPs and technical work procedures to reflect best practice; supervise the readiness and performance of all process equipment, ensuring operational reliability at all times; monitor production processes continuously to maintain stable and efficient operations; lead technical troubleshooting of equipment failures or process deviations, implementing robust corrective actions; develop, review, and update production SOPs and technical work procedures to reflect best practice.

Leadership & People Development

Lead, motivate, and develop production operators through structured coaching and mentoring; Plan and deliver targeted training programs to continuously build operator skills, knowledge, and competencies; foster a positive work culture grounded in accountability, discipline, and strong work ethics; instruct and guide workforce on required safety measures during maintenance, repair, and daily production tasks; collaborate effectively with production planners, safety engineers, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations.

Planning & Organization

Plan and organize daily production schedules to consistently meet safety, quality, and service targets; allocate and optimize production resources — workforce, equipment, and materials — effectively; coordinate maintenance and repair planning to minimize impact on production continuity; align production activities with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth end-to-end plant operations; proactively manage competing priorities to maintain stable and predictable production output.

Continuous Improvement

Autonomously identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains within the plant; lead and support improvement initiatives to enhance production performance, reduce waste, and increase yield; monitor and optimize direct production costs, including utilities, consumables, and workforce efficiency; actively contribute to plant energy management programs and sustainability initiatives; benchmark current practices against SOPs and industry standards to identify improvement potential.


 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
  • Strong English proficiency in speaking, writing, and reading
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum 8 years of working experience in a manufacturing plant environment
  • Proven track record in operator leadership, problem-solving, and housekeeping management
  • Strong safety and quality mindset with demonstrated commitment to operational excellence
