Production Manager

A vacancy exists within our team for a Production Manager who can motivate, direct and measure the performance of the manufacturing operation and support a culture of continuous improvement and safety first. The successful applicant will be based at Knockrow, New South Wales and will be responsible for Site Safety, Site Engineering, and Production, Planning and Warehouse Management. Responsibilities:

  • Manufacturing - Hands-on daily management of the manufacturing operations. Drive process improvement, reduce costs and wastage, and maximize service levels. Match production capability to business needs.
  • EHS – Site coordinator for EHS.  Ensure the operations are fully compliant to local regulations and Clariant ESHA policies. Drive interation into Clariant ESHA programs and reporting tools. Develop a strong safety culture.
  • Engineering – Site maintenance.  Design and implementation of CapEx projects.
  • GMP – Understanding of the various GMP codes, drive quality improvements and ensure all customer complaints are satisfactorily resolved.
  • People – Create the best team.  Hire, train, develop and empower. Direct management of the production, planning and warehouse team.
  • Management - Member of SCB management team - make significant positive contributions to the overall success of SCB.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in operational, engineering, or manufacturing role. Experienced in HSE and GMP regulations.
  • Strong management skills.
  • Higher school certificate or equivalent
  • Degree qualified ideally in engineering (process or chemical) preferred
  • Processing knowledge in cosmetic ingredient manufacture, food and beverage or related industries.
  • Basic understanding of GMP.
  • Forklift license preferred.
  • Basic mechanical maintenance.
