The role is accountable to drive new business development preferably with specialties and innovations (not specked in products in customers), particularly in Heart and Belly accounts
Responsibilities

- Overall NBD in defined accounts / market / geography / technology
- Understand customers’ value drivers, prepare persuasive tailor made- pitch Clariant solutions and introduce new products into customers
- Create and follow-up leads & opportunities with defined customers
- CRM pipeline and manage opportunity funnel steps (info, sample, first price quotation, approval process, coordinate dossiers, 1st sales, etc.)
- Close relationship with customer technical areas
- Hand-over to account manager after 1st sales
- The role operates in a coordinated team set-up composed by: AM and BD;
- Support distributors with trainings and expertise sharing when needed
- Provide inputs to regional / global innovation and marketing teams regarding market needs and market potential
- Willingness to collaborate and contribute to a team-oriented G2M and environment
- Proven experience in new business development, combining technical know-how with business / sales acumen and drive to convert opportunities into sales
Requirements
- Metallurgical engineering or chemical engineering or chemistry
- Minimum 5 years in metallurgy and/or mineral processing and/or product development and innovation
- Value based selling and pricing mindset
- Sales-driven mindset with a passion for achieving and exceeding targets.
- Advanced english level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant sales tools.
