Senior Accounting Specialist with German

On this position you will be responsible for General Accounting duties. Applying accounting principles and procedures to prepare accurate and timely financial reports, journal entries, account reconciliations and process transactions in General Ledger.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Perform the activities, like monthly journal entries to meet the aligned SLA/KPIs.
  • Process transactions in SAP (booking of manual debit/credit notes, booking of manual payments / transfers, corrections, performing checks and controls verifying correctness of accounting processes).
  • Perform GL account reconciliations and initiating actions aiming at clearing of open positions.
  • Conduct timely communication upon the inquiries from internal and external customers/concerned groups, for the operational transparency on the transactional activities.
  • Identification and participation in the implementation of quality and continuous improvement projects.
  • Being active in daily discussions, ideas sharing, cross team duties and backup activities execution.
  • Upon the need - execute knowledge transfer and work shadowing sessions (from Finance teams or within GBS structures).
 


 
What are we looking for?

  • 5 years’ experience in general accounting (especially in a corporation).
  • Experience in preparing account reconciliations.
  • Willingness to take on new opportunities as they arise and to make current processes and procedures more efficient and effective.
  • Customer-centric mindset, proactivity, orientation on solving problems and delivery of solutions end to end.
  • Auditing experience would be an advantage.
  • International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation (IFRS) knowledge would be an advantage.
  • Language Skills:
  • Internal corporate language: English B2 level required 
  • Working with customers: German B2 level required
