Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Clariant is currently looking for an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support the Catalyst business unit at the West Plant facility in Louisville, KY. This role will be responsible for diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance of the West Plant catalyst equipment and related industrial systems. This includes basic electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting faulty motors and other equipment, disassembling, realigning, and reinstalling components, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment performance, safety, and efficiency. This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM. At Clariant, you'll be part of a team that values technical expertise, continuous improvement, and safety. Responsibilities

•    Perform diagnostics, repairs, and upkeep of West Plant catalyst and industrial equipment
•    Execute preventive and proactive maintenance activities as scheduled or assigned
•    Ensure all maintenance work is completed with a focus on time, quality, and cost efficiency
•    Apply root-cause analysis to breakdowns and line stoppages; collaborate with other departments to resolve issues
•    Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain company assets, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
•    Use CMMS (SAP) to open/close work orders, manage spare parts, and track activities
•    Participate in daily performance dialogue meetings and team meetings
•    Communicate effectively with managers, engineers, and operators to align on maintenance needs
•    Analyze equipment error messages and operator feedback to diagnose issues
•    Support training of operational personnel on technical matters
•    Work independently and as part of a team to maintain plant reliability


 

Requirements

•    Associate’s degree or diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field, or equivalent formal training in mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair
•    Minimum 6 years in industrial maintenance with emphasis on electro-mechanical systems
•    Basic electrical diagnostics skills required; experience with PLC systems is a plus.
•    Experience using CMMS (SAP preferred)
