Clariant is seeking an Offshore Production Chemicals, Field Representative to support the Oil Services segment within the Care Chemicals business unit, based in Broussard, LA. The position focuses on production chemical programs (not drilling fluids) and emphasizes measured problem-solving, customer influence, and the development of lasting offshore relationships in a post-consolidation industry environment. Responsibilities

•    Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned offshore accounts, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing timely updates to customers
•    Provide technical, diagnostic, and analytical support for production chemical programs, troubleshooting complex offshore operational challenges
•    Respond to offshore call-outs and emergency situations, deploying as needed to restore chemical system functionality
•    Conduct preventive inspections and service checks on chemical treatment systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability
•    Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, product development, and technical support, to escalate and resolve complex issues
•    Represent Clariant with professionalism, integrity, and a polished customer presence, maintaining a positive company image in all interactions
•    Communicate effectively with customers to provide updates on service status, set expectations, and ensure satisfaction with Clariant’s products and services
•    Provide on-site guidance and technical support to facility personnel on chemical handling, optimization, and troubleshooting best practices
•    Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while offshore and on-site, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself, the team, and customer personnel
•    Manage multiple accounts and coordinate offshore visits, maintaining flexibility to respond to operational priorities and scheduling constraints


 

Requirements

•    1–3 years of experience in production chemicals, offshore operations, or related technical/field roles; some college required, science or engineering degree preferred
•    Strong communication skills, professional presence, and ability to manage customer relationships independently
•    Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable with 24/7 on-call offshore rotations and flexible schedules
•    Willingness to travel offshore, support multiple facilities, and coordinate with internal teams to resolve technical issues
