Product Portfolio Value Manager

Join Clariant as a Product Portfolio Manager in Care Chemicals and drive commercial growth for the Personal & Home Care business across NorAm. In this role, you will lead portfolio strategy initiatives, pricing management, and portfolio optimization activities while collaborating with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Commercial, Supply Chain, Operations, and Global Strategic Pricing.

You will play a key role in analyzing market trends, managing pricing processes, optimizing product portfolios, and supporting strategic business decisions that strengthen competitiveness, improve profitability, and deliver value to customers across the region.


Responsibilities

  • Drive commercial growth of Personal & Home Care NorAm by spearheading the development and execution of product portfolio strategies.
  • Three main overarching responsibilities are: pricing process, portfolio lifecycle and portfolio optimization.
  • Work closely with marketing to steer portfolio, work closely with Global Strategic Pricing to ensure pricing process cadence, work closely with Global PPVM to implement inter-region optimization opportunities.
  • Run and oversee pricing process in the region, ensuring alignment with Global Strategic Pricing guidelines and policy and Personal & Home Care strategies.
  • Initiate and drive portfolio lifecycle analysis and projects; and drive regional/segment portfolio analysis to identify poor performers to optimize available portfolio.
  • Act as the primary liaison across functions (Commercial, Marketing, Operations, etc.), ensuring seamless portfolio management.
  • Provide inputs of products, market, pricing, and capabilities to assist the commercial team effectively and enhance margin management.
  • Support tactical allocation and associated supply chain topics.
  • Contribute to the Integrated Business Plan (IBP) following business strategies and objectives.
  • Ensure product set-up in the system.

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemistry, Marketing, Engineering, Business or comparable degree with relevant experience.
  • 3 years of experience in marketing, product or pricing management, sales, or correlated areas.
  • Proficiency in SAP R/3, Excel, Pivot, Reporting tools / methodologies.
