Industrial Maintenance Technician

Become a part of our outstanding Absorbents and Additives Maintenance Team! In this role, you will be responsible for precision maintenance on both electrical and mechanical crafts while maintaining a high level of ESHA (Environmental, Safety, Health, and Awareness) for yourself, your team, and adherence to policies, guidelines, and laws. This position requires covering a rotational weekend on-call shift. At pre-determined times, you will need to wear a respirator and should be medically cleared to do so.


Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, plan, and repair all electrical and/or mechanical components.
  • Perform work in mechanical skill areas such as fabrication, assembly, welding, burning, cutting, and pipefitting.
  • Conduct work in electrical skill areas such as using multi-meters, clamp-on amp meters, meg-ohm meters, wiring 3-phase electric motors, and repairing electrical cables.
  • Routinely rig equipment for lifting, which may require the use of hoists or cranes. These loads may routinely weigh several thousand pounds.
  • Install, rearrange, and align complex equipment while keeping track of spare parts and work orders using our internal CMMS.
  • Perform housekeeping and 5S activities in the maintenance shop, electrical shop, immediate work areas, and other designated areas.

 

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required. A 2-year Associate's Degree in Industrial Maintenance/Technology is highly preferred.
  • Seeking 3-5 years of proven industrial experience (such as Mechanic, Millwright, Electro-Mechanical Technician, or similar roles).
  • Ability to read and write technical drawings, single lines, manuals, and P&ID diagrams.
  • Solid MS Office skills (Word and Excel); experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs. The position also requires climbing ladders up to 178 feet.
