Treasury Manager Americas

Job ID: 41892  |  Location: São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil | Work Model: Hybrid

Are you a seasoned treasury professional looking for your next high-impact challenge?

Clariant is a world-renowned global specialty chemicals company headquartered in Switzerland, recognized internationally for its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence. Here, finance is a strategic lever — not a back-office function. Senior finance professionals operate with real influence and global visibility, connected directly to a sophisticated Group Treasury in Switzerland.

Our treasury function is in full digital transformation — Kyriba TMS, in-house banking (POBO/COBO), centralized FX, and agentic AI for cash forecasting and reconciliation. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of treasury in a complex multinational environment.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Treasury Manager Americas to be the regional treasury authority across 🇧🇷 Brazil · 🇲🇽 Mexico · 🇨🇱 Chile · 🇵🇪 Peru · 🇨🇴 Colombia · 🇨🇦 Canada · 🇺🇸 USA.

  • Individual contributor role — no direct team management
  • Senior and strategic, with hands-on operational responsibilities
  • You will lead through expertise and influence, partnering closely with regional stakeholders and Group Treasury headquarters

Why Clariant?

✅ Global visibility with direct connection to Group Treasury in Switzerland
✅ High-impact, transformational digital treasury agenda
✅ A culture that values innovation, sustainability, and ethical leadership
✅ Work across one of the most diverse and dynamic regions in the world

Responsibilities

  • Drive liquidity management and cash flow performance across the Americas, optimizing subsidiary capital structures in line with Group Treasury policies
  • Identify and manage FX exposures, executing hedging strategies via the in-house bank and monitoring results against benchmarks
  • Own end-to-end bank account management (KYC, mandates) in Kyriba TMS and lead banking relationships across the region, including wallet analysis, pricing reviews, and account rationalization
  • Lead the Americas workstream in the Kyriba TMS/in-house bank transformation (POBO/COBO, netting, centralized FX), identifying digitalization opportunities and exploring AI applications in cash forecasting and reconciliation
  • Ensure compliance with Group policies and local regulations (including BACEN and IOF), delivering Treasury KPIs and providing guidance on regulatory changes
  • Act as Treasury lead for regional strategic projects (entity restructuring, new market entries, capex, trade finance), engaging with senior stakeholders, regional leadership, and Group Treasury headquarters

Requirements

Experience

  • 5+ years of treasury experience in multinational companies, combined with established relationships with financial institutions or proven banking sector experience
  • Experience with Americas regulatory environments is a plus

Languages

  • English and Portuguese — fluent, mandatory
  • Spanish — desirable

Education

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

Profile

  • Senior and strategic, but equally hands-on and execution-oriented
  • Leads by influence — able to drive results without direct authority, building trust and credibility across cultures and hierarchies
  • Highly adaptable to fast-paced, ever-changing environments
  • Ethics is non-negotiable — you bring integrity to every decision and interaction
  • Innovative mindset — you challenge the status quo, drive continuous improvement, and are not afraid to speak up and take a stand when it matters
  • Strong cross-cultural communication and stakeholder management skills, including comfort interacting with global headquarters

Our Offer
