Emergency Manager Americas & EHS LATAM

Clariant, a global leader in specialty chemicals, is looking for an experienced professional, supporting Emergency Management and Business Continuity programs across the Americas and LATAM region. In this role, you will act as a key driver of organizational resilience, developing and maintaining emergency management frameworks, training programs, and continuity systems while collaborating with regional and global stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who want to combine expertise in crisis and continuity management with regional impact and global exposure. Please note that this is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Steer and maintain the regional Emergency Management program, including SOPs, guidelines, and simulation exercises
  • Manage and continuously improve the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) across the region
  • Monitor Emergency Management performance against established KPIs, identifying gaps and implementing improvements
  • Develop training materials and support the delivery of EM and BCMS training to regional teams
  • Support the Head of Emergency Management in Global Emergency Management (GEM) preparedness initiatives, acting as deputy when required
  • Lead root cause analysis for emergency incidents and conduct operational assessment audits

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; aptitude in Crisis Management systems is prioritized
  • Solid senior-level experience in Crisis Management, Business Continuity, or EHS — with a minimum of 3 years in a strategic and decision-making capacity
  • Proven track record of leading complex emergency management initiatives and influencing stakeholders across multiple organizational levels
  • Fluent English with strong communication
  • Ability to work autonomously and make sound judgments under pressure
  • Agility and composure when dealing with high-stakes emergency scenarios
