Procurement Manager (Site& Maintenance Services and Equipment)

The Jobholder implements sourcing strategies for materials/services on a regional level, manages the supply market in his/her area of responsibility closely and actively interacts with the businesses and other stakeholders, manages suppliers, and actively participates in the performance management of the regional category.


Responsibilities

  • Sourcing: sources materials and services in his/her area of responsibility according to aligned sourcing strategies.
  • Negotiates and concludes deals and contracts on delegated supply portfolio.
  • Manages procurement activities for CAPEX projects. 
  • Achieves savings/contributions through implementing sourcing strategies and driving strategic procurement projects and initiatives.
  • Contributes to the achievement of key procurement targets (e.g. payment terms, supplier risk and sustainability profiles).
  • Executes agreements and manages Clariant procurement tools and processes (SLM, Pinpools, SAP, QNS, contracts, Ecovadis, etc.)
  • Supply market management: supports development of sourcing strategies on technical equipment and/or maintenance + repair services.
  • Conducts market research and proactively finds/develops new suppliers and alternative sourcing concepts. 
  • Monitors and analyses market development within area of responsibility.
  • Supplier management and business partnering: drives cross-functional teams and proactively communicates with stakeholders.
  • Closely interacts with the businesses. 
  • Manages relationship to strategic suppliers within area of responsibility.

 

Requirements

  • Engineering/Chemical/Technical degree with solid commercial/business background, or
  • Master or Specialized studies in Procurement or Supply Chain.
  • Desirable experience 3+ years in a business/senior level in Procurement Indirect Spend. 
  • Experience required in writing and negotiating supply and/or service contracts.
  • Fluency in English both written and spoken.
  • Other languages are a plus, in particular German.
  • MS-Office.
  • Good SAP expertise, esp. procurement related modules.  
  • Ability to perform in an agile environment with moving requirements.
  • Ability to prioritize and focus on key strategic targets.
  • Skills: Problem solving, Communication and negotiation, Influencing, Analytical, Holds up high compliance and ethical standards, Business acumen.
