Senior IT Cloud Architect

Design and develop scalable, secure cloud architectures aligned with business objectives, ensuring resource optimization, robust security implementation, and compliance with standards. Assess technical solutions and costs, generate architectural documentation, collaborate with engineering and security teams, and act as a mentor to junior team members while staying updated on emerging cloud service trends and technologies.


Responsibilities

  • Design scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures that meet business and technical requirements.
  • Create and maintain architectural documentation outlining the structure and components of cloud solutions.
  • Develop and refine the organization's overall cloud strategy in alignment with business goals.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate cloud solutions based on technical requirements and cost considerations.
  • Implement cost-effective solutions and monitor cloud usage to optimize resource allocation.
  • Provide recommendations for cost-saving measures and budget management.
  • Ensure that cloud architectures adhere to security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement robust security measures for data protection and access control.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences to articulate cloud solutions and their benefits.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in cloud services.
  • Continuously update skills and certifications to maintain expertise in cloud architecture.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex technical requirements and propose effective solutions.
  • Work closely with engineering and product teams within an Agile framework.

 

Requirements

  • Higher education or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • 8-12 years or more of relevant work experience in IT, with a focus on cloud architecture and design.

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.

  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

  • TOGAF methodology (The Open Group Architecture Framework).

  • Ability to operate in complex technical environments.
  • Focus to increase user satisfaction, problem solving and proactive technical solutions improvements.
  • Adavacend English is a must, other international languages desired.
  • Works independently and proactively and shows personal responsability and initiative.
