The Senior IT Manager SAP Development has the global responsibility to ensure that applications are designed and implemented along the requirements of Clariant businesses and is responsible for guaranteeing efficient, high-quality development and implementation rules. The Senior IT Manager SAP Development has to manage a qualified team of global professionals and optimize services through working with standardized processes and tools on a global scale.


Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

Globally accountable for SAP applications design & development for Business Units and Global Functions, including system design, data modeling, programming, testing, release planning, maintenance, and optimization.

Core responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop team of specialists
  • Define solution architecture
  • Deliver projects and provide support
  • Manage suppliers and budget
  • Ensure user satisfaction

Key Areas of Focus

  • Service & Product Management: Supervise staff, manage resources, monitor development progress, ensure smooth project handovers
  • Strategy: Support application lifecycle management and SAP strategy implementation
  • Efficiency: Enforce global standards, optimize team assignments, improve methods and tools
  • People Management: Develop team skills, set goals, provide leadership, foster collaboration
  • Technical Leadership: Guide ABAP development, BTP services implementation, and integration solutions

Requirements

  • Higher education in IT, computer science, or business management
  • 5+ years senior-level people management experience
  • 3+ years IT project management experience
  • 3+ years international experience
  • Proficient English communication
  • ABAP programming skills
  • SAP BTP knowledge
  • Integration technologies experience
  • SAP S4/HANA experience
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with experience in multicultural environments and global scope.
  • Innovation-driven with self-starter mentality, budget and vendor management capabilities, focus on standardization and resource optimization.
