Senior Specialist Regulatory Affairs Biodiversity EAME

Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance against due diligence regulations related to biodiversity (mainly the Nagoya Protocol and associated ABS regulations and EU Deforestation Regulation).
- Implement/Consolidate harmonized control/due diligence systems within LMC by Clariant entities
- Develop due diligence concepts and systems (policy)
- Systematically assess the compliance of projects/sourcings towards these regulations in terms of risks (reputational, legal, commercial)
- Coordinate with R&D, sustainability and purchasing to manage new and existing sourcing
- Develop risk mitigation and securization plans with teams concerned
- Develop and implement guidelines and processes/SOP - Coordinate the ABS compliance of projects with internal (R&D, purchasing, sustainability, legal) and external stakeholders (authorities, partners, suppliers)
- Answer customer’s requests on these topics
- Coordinate internal working groups on ABS and EUDR
- Represent LMC in external working groups regarding these topics
- Participate in events related to ethical sourcing and due diligence
- Work on awareness-raising among teams and perform trainings
- Regular watch on other due diligence regulations, local laws, and emergent topics (ex: DSI)
Requirements:
- Min 3-5 years’ experience
- Master’s degree, engineering diploma, or PhD in science, regulatory, sustainability
- Ability to engage multiple stakeholders towards compliance
- Ability to apply complex national legislation
- Ability to coordinate international projects and to adapt to various international context
- Agility and problem-solving skills
- Communication skills and teamwork skills
- Project management
- C1 in English & French
