Bench Engineer

Total Target Cash Compensation: ¥213,000.00  – ¥284,000.00


Responsibilities

  1. Complete assigned lab activities and report the results:
    • Execute daily experiments/DOE based on own plan or given by lab head as well as project manager;
    • Set up experiment equipment or system to enable the experiments as plan;
    • Develop experiment standard operating procedures (SOP) for lab lead or project manager approval;
    • Operate relevant equipment with safe handling of chemicals following SOP;
    • Record, document and feedback experiments observations and results in ELN (electronic lab notebook) with oral and written reporting to supervisor;
    • Support lab head in knowledge management, build-up and further development of experimental and scientific skill-set;
  1. Follow ESHA requirement, support lab management and maintenance:
    • Understand and strictly follow regulations and requirements of OCC lab EHS, report safety deviations and support safety inspections;
    • Maintain the management and stock of chemicals, consumables and lab equipment;
    • Ensure and follow procedures for handling, receiving and shipping of chemicals;
    • Maintain and further develop the lab environment according to 5S principles;
    • Prepare and update SOPs for own lab environment;
    • Mandatory risk assessment for equipment and experiments;       

 

Requirements

  • Master/PhD degree in Chemistry (organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, materials chemistry, etc.)
  • 0-2 years experience, Experimental experience in Flow Chemistry (eg. Microreaction technology) is preferred
  • Excellent English skill
