Sustainability Strategy Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Customer support: Fill sustainability customer questionnaire & answer sustainability customer requests.  Assure the transparency initiative for TRASCE consortium by filling transparency-one platform, coordinating the topic internally and securing confidentiality requirements
  • Product Carbon Footprint:  Assure bridge with the Clariant climate team.  Continue the realisation of Product Carbon Footprint with third-party consulting firm.
  • Responsible sourcing: Coordinate cosmetic ingredients responsible sourcing program: manage risks with the supply chain team, analyze business and product impact of at-risk raw material, implement and follow-up action plan, support product development team in sourcing new raw material, participate in industry events and association. Main initiatives: lecithins, Palm, EUDR and Quinoa
  • Sustainability coordination:
    • Coordinate sustainability strategy and objectives implementation across LMC’s different departments: operation, R&D, PLM, supply, etc. 
    • Assure sustainability alignment between LMC sites and Clariant’s strategy.  Evaluate LMC products in Clariant PVP system and Clariant Bioecomony Policy. 
    • Follow-up of KPI and coordination of Clariant consolidated report
  • Product Development: Define product compliance regarding sustainability claims and attributes.  Support the PLM and R&D teams to validate product sustainability content, icons list overview, and all related tools
  • Sustainability promotion: Support communication team on sustainability initiatives

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in the cosmetic industry or 3 to 5 years of experience in similar industries (sales / marketing)
  • University degree in cosmetics sciences or environmental sciences preferred or related field; a marketing or sustainability specialization or MBA or a relevant experience is an asset
  • Multi-tasking
  • Communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Project management
  • Versatile and self-reliant
  • Highly organized and methodical, make quick and effective decisions
  • French and English is required (C1)
