Procurement Manager - Site & Maintenance services (m/f/d)

We are looking for a driven Procurement Manager – Site & Maintenance Services to join our regional Procurement team based in Tarragona or Barcelona, Spain. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a substantial regional procurement portfolio, delivering and developing sourcing strategies, and supply solutions for our strategic procurement category STEP (Site & Maintenance Services, Technical Equipment and Packaging) with a focus on services. Reporting to the regional Category Manager, you will play a pivotal role in achieving meaningful cost efficiencies through strategic procurement initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Implement, execute and further develop regional sourcing strategies for site & maintenance services
  • Negotiate and conclude contracts and supply agreements for a delegated portfolio of regional services
  • Manage procurement activities for capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery
  • Drive measurable savings and value contributions through strategic procurement projects
  • Execute and manage Clariant procurement tools including SAP, SLM, Pinpools, QNS, contracts, and EcoVadis
  • Conduct market research to identify and develop new suppliers and alternative sourcing concepts
  • Monitor and analyze market developments within the area of responsibility
  • Build and manage relationships with strategic suppliers, ensuring performance, compliance, and long-term value
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and maintain clear, proactive communication with internal stakeholders
  • Support the development of category strategies
  • Uphold full compliance with Clariant's procurement standards, policies, and ethical guidelines

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Operations, or Procurement or an Engineering, Chemical, or Technical degree combined with a solid commercial background
  • 2+ years of experience in a business function, preferably in procurement or supply chain
  • Experience in writing, reviewing, and negotiating supply and service contracts
  • Proficiency in SAP, particularly in procurement modules
  • Solid command of MS Office tools
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); German language skills are a significant advantage
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder influencing skills
  • High standards of integrity, compliance awareness, and ethical conduct
  • Team-oriented and collaborative, with the ability to work effectively across functions and countries
