Product Stewardship Specialist

The Product Stewardship Specialist is responsible for ensuring Clariant's global compliance with REACH regulations through expert analysis, documentation, and consultation. This role serves as a key liaison between regulatory requirements and business operations, supporting the company's commitment to product safety and regulatory excellence.


Responsibilities

Objective: To provide specialized expertise in REACH compliance and regulatory affairs, ensuring Clariant's materials meet all legal requirements worldwide while supporting business units and customers with regulatory guidance for EU market access, with particular focus on Only Representative responsibilities under REACH regulation.

 

  • Independent performance of REACH status analysis of Clariant materials worldwide.
  • Independent issuing of legally binding statements on the REACH status of Clariant materials.
  • Initiation of Only Representative registrations in cooperation with Product Managers of BU's, Product Stewardship Business Partners and customers.
  • Support in consulting Business Units and customers on regulatory requirements for importing materials into the European Union, focusing on "Only Representative" matters under the REACH regulation.
  • Ability to deal with complex supply chain topics of CLNs materials sold.
  • Ability to take conscious decisions ensuring chemical regulatory compliance.
  • Resilience in stressful environment.
  • Cross-functional interaction.

 

Requirements

  • Professional qualification in a Chemical-technical field or education in Business Management / International Business.
  • In-depth knowledge of Products Stewardship processes and REACH like regulations.
  • Min. 3 to 5 years of experience as Product Stewardship specialist in multinational company.
  • Experience with business processes (Production, Purchasing, Sales) in SAP/WINS and EH&S.
  • Experience in Supply Chain regulations knowledge.
  • Fluent in English language, good communications skills and understanding of intercultural aspects.
  • Investigative mindset, flexible, structured, solution-driven working style.
  • Target oriented communication skills.
